Subject: mortar for limestone blocks

I've been enjoying and learning a lot from the dissertations on lime mortar.
Thanks.

A few more questions: What's the recommended temperature range for lime
mortar, especially the low end? How do you know if it didn't cure
optimally? And finally, how wet do stones need to be when working with lime
mortar? Soaking wet or a quick hose job? It seems like you'd end up with a
runny mess with very wet stone.
