Oxalic Acid and Stone Impregnators
Hello fellow sculptors,
When polishing stone, I normally use a stone impregnator after about 600
grit and then finish the polishing process. I was once told sealing the
stone at this stage helped it take on a better final polish. It has worked
well for me so far.
I am currently finishing a marble piece and I am planning on using Oxalic
Acid (for the first time) before the final steps of applying marble polish
and wax. My question is, does the acid have an adverse impact on the
impregnator? If so, should I wait until after using the Oxalic Acid to use
the sealer?
Thank you for your help,
John Halter
