Beautiful carvings of your web site I especially like the mosquito and
worms on the animal column. I can't see the joints!. In the
conservation and restoration world current thinking is that it is best
to avoid ordinary or white Portland cement for use with limestone if
possible because of the risk of staining and salts and also because of
the dangers of having a mortar harder and stronger than the stone. The
strength of the various hydraulic limes now available can cope with
nearly all limestone building and sculpture applications. Good
