Simon, I have no problem what so ever with the use of pointing
machines, calipers, projection machines or any other mechanical
aid used to assist a carver in his/her search for correct
proportions, and or replication. I was refering (in jest sort
of) to the use of automated carving machines. One mearly feeds
a cad file into the computer, sets up the piece of stone, and
walks away. Gives one ample time to contemplate ways to spend
all that money the machine is making. LOL
