pointing machines barry x ball
Hello Electric Stone Friends,
Here's trouble! Barry X Ball fascinates me somewhat as he
slides his puss into the fraction on pointing methods and
ethos. Check the buster out if you haven't already. I
list a couple of sites. I could not find the bust that
got my attention in the first place. A Belgian Black from
a life cast with every wrinkle and one eye open and black
shining. Though he makes use of milling devices, the work
they do is largely just the beginning of many many hours
of hard hand labour to reach the finish line. Onyx! X
Ball's ethos seems to build around a fascination with
digital space proved out in real material of earth. It is
wonderful the weird and piercing and penetrating realms to
which a determined pursuit of quantatatively accurate
reproduction can lead. It seems a pursuit merely noble,
purely as well. Bound to fail in equalling vivid reality,
but romantic in carrying on none the less. Almost
whistful as daydreams and fancies, but carried to
corporeal conclusion with an iron fist and in result the
simulacrum is incarnate and something sure to stub a toe
on.
