Prayer Stone/ Gravity Restored
Thanks Philip, we own the quarry that provided the Dunnville Stone for
that project. We have recently finished up a documentary on the history
of the stone in our quarry as well as the last surviving stone cutter
from the Dunnville Quarries who is currently 91 years old. I am
interested if anyone has any further information than what is provided
on the website which would further describe the process in terms of the
construction, time, number of people, etc.
By the way, for those interested, we have officially re-opened this
quarry and can provide the same sandstone that was used in this project.
The stone has very good carving capabilities. When wet, it works very
much like wood!
If anyone has any further interests, I would be willing to send pictures
and/or samples.
Thanks ahead of time if anyone has any further information on the
church!!
Aaron
