Bill,
Quoted text begins.RE: " . . . embarrassed about an empty pot . . . normal . . . blobs!"
End of quote.
Your web presence may be more verbal than visual, but I can say your work
is well-above the normal type of blob . . . ;-) . . . because my
(non-stonecarving) sculptor professor way back when accused ME of making
'glorified lumps' in stone, to which I rashly answered with a proud,
'Yes, I do!'
And so -- as a confirmed glorified lump-maker -- I say you have no reason
to be embarrassed, glory in your vision and share it with those who ask.
We all know of the depth and range of your perception though your words
and searching eyes, and while I certainly do not have the silver tongue
you do, I feel I must say the spin you put on those white marble pieces
is uplifting. And -- at the other end of the spectrum -- I wish my
fingers were as delicate as yours when they so lovingly modeled clay into
that beautiful figure sketch.
or, as Shakespeare put it: "Methinks he doth protest too much."
Just my two cents.
Don
