tool cases, boring Florida
Gary,
A little lightweight canvas, some thin leather, an old sewing machine and VOILA you can make tool rolls in no time at all. I made mine to hold chisels and air hammers. As I put the chisels in their slots the oil on them soaks into the canvas and really helps keep the rust problems to a minimum. Any seamstress could easily make them for you. I have 5 rolls and transporting my tools is a breeze. No clanging against each other or sharp ends to avoid.
TO All.....I have seen some pics of Bill's work.......as lovely as his writings !!
......I just spent 10 days in Naples, Florida and can honestly say I would love to have the opportunity to spend day in and day out in such a warm and inspiring climate.....boring? I can't imagine the sea and shore ever becoming boring......I swam with dolphins and kayaked in the Everglades in January !! the art and the galleries were delightful as were the people and foods from all over the world...and the flowers !! in January !! One could carve year round with no stiff fingers in the morning, no radiant heaters, no little toe warmers in your work boots, no insulated coveralls, no little hand warmers in your back pockets.....now that I'm home and our high temps are in the 20s....boo hoo....I want Florida back !!!! I'm sure it's that grass is greener thing......
