bows ?
End of quote.
Mr. Critical.
Bows in fact would be excellent and descriptive. Tomas is
doing a work up for commission competition. He is
planning two groups of stacked stone columns, six each I
believe, of differents sizes materials and silhouette.
Some humanish in having torso like areas and head like
finials. Some are utterly inhuman and are sinuous. Some
of the columns are built of bottoms flared blocks, squared
but with pleating of drill races. The also give the
appearance carton pine trees, hence the boughs. He has
made wonderful play with appearances. The columns are of
stone, yet the sway and career. The drawings are
wonderful. Almost Seussian but more like presents
unwrapped. Utterly delightful. Hopefully to be titled
"Lithical Creatures". He paid me the most wonderful
compliment of venturing to know my opion of his design
entry, and I was giddy to backseat drive until I became an
insufferable nuissance.
