Verdite
Hi John,
Verdite is quite a hard green stone from Zimbabwe, with nice colours. Because of quarzite, chrome and other stuff inside it is quite hard to carve with handtools. You will have to sharpen them after short time of working. I have a verdite raw stone in my store, but up to now I didn't start to carve it. Because of its very intensive coloured structure I would prefer to make quite a simple form out of this stone. Because this stone is very rare to purchase take a piece look how you can work on it.
Happy sculpting
Horst
