Subject: What is Art

An Indian holy man called Shri Santananda Saraswati was asked
this question," What is art?"
His answer was ," Art is the smile of God."
My friend responded:

Here it is .... this whole creation is nothing but art which was created by
Universal Intelligence which knows everything in the universe - things you
see - things you cannot see - but it knows how things should be. Each piece
he/she/it created is an unique art piece - for example a flower. It is
created by Universal Intelligence and given limited Intelligence (creation
power) to the flower how to bloom etc. etc.

So the artist is closer to this Universal Intelligence you can call it God.
Artist uses limited (creativity) Intelligence to create his/her own
creationwhich is art.

When artist creates - he merges himself beyond his limited identification as
a small human being and captures the Universal beauty - but when he claims
himself he is greatest artist - he becomes again limited human. Because he
isborrowing the Intelligence. Nothing belongs to us - we are just a part of
this great creation - as long as we merge to the nature and give credit to
the Higher Intelligence - we are ok - or at least remind our self that we
arenot limited human being but Universal one. Does it make sense?
