Hello !from Bill Woodard
Quoted text begins. One of the fav' things on my list is seeking out my own alabaster.Any one
knowing sites where this maybe 'culled' please get in touch as obtaining
ones own stone is an advantage.I'm always looking for that 'Ringer' that
will give rise to the finest of vessels. Well that's my intro to this forum
and I look forward to meeting, on line, some of you.Bill Woodard (Rockhound)

Hi Bill,
I had 4500 lbs of alabaster shipped in from a quarry in Cedar City, Utah. I think there was at least 6 different 'colors' in all. Some waaaay better than others. Fort Collins, Co has what they call white alabaster. I like it....some don't. Until spring most of the quarries are unable to get any stone out. I paid 45 cents per lb plus shipping. It allowed me to keep all I wanted and sell the rest @ 1.20 per lb.
Good luck and welcome to our little dinner party !
~Robin
