Ian Newbery
Quoted text begins.Even 'Carved in Stone' is too limited.
End of quote.
So that is a periodical? Are there others?
Here's a quiz. Can anyone name an American worker who has
completed nearly 60 public works, not individual pieces of
sculpture, but integrated enviroments: Plazas, Murals,
Parks often including mutiple sculptural elements,
domestically and internationally. All of it stone; made,
by and large, by his own hand, he is certainly a good
canidate for leading public stone artist in the U.S. Who
is he? Do we know him? Are we proud of him?
The truth is that it is hard to find out about him. He
does not have a web site and the few web site that cover
his work are from long ago.
Who would be other good canidates?
