Hi Norm,
You are right to be concerned. One of those lintels across the back of
your neck would spoil your whole day.
Make a scaled drawing with as much detail as you think necessary, and
take it to an engineer for certification. Don't think he would like
11' natural stone lintels not being tied back to a reinforced
concrete structure!
