New Air Hammer Problem
John,
I was taught to leave uncooperative air hammers in a bucket of kerosene and
oil over night to clean off any oil and dust residue. then use only air
hammer oil , repeatedly to get it working freely.
Check your tool to see if it has unscrewed its self. If it has opened up
just a little, the air flow can be all messed up. I've only had it happen
once and it just about drove me nuts.
Simon's advice do have the hammer looked at by an expert is as usual , right
on the mark.
