Thanks again everyone who wrote in on this subject. I'll pass on your
cautions to my friend. He also is planning a 2' (w) x 3' (h) x 300' (l)
stone wall made of old field stones. It will have two good sides, and a
4" cap stone layer. Not long ago on a wintry day we drove up to the
Maryland pan handle to see the stone that will go into making the wall.
I think its going to be exciting watching the project take shape. The
granite has to be shipped from NH.
