Splitting igneous Basalt using wedges and shims.
Thanks Bill for the speedy reply.
The rock is about 800 mm through and 1 metre high.
It is an oval shape actually.
I drilled into the rock 120 mm which was enough to place the shims fully in.
I hear what you are saying about "not enough wedges"
I'll get some more and try again.
Are the spacings correct?
