Harvey Fite Chat
At this point I have no idea if I am contributing to or
despoiling the list, but I would like, chances are, for
some dubious pupose of self aggrandizement, to share some
links to Harvey Fite, whom you probably either know of
already or don't wish to know about. It leaves me in a
pickle, I guess, but here goes, though perhaps there
should be a rule against it. I found them interesting and
am siezed by an unruly passion to share them.
One site gives a description of the erection of a very
large and tall vertical stone that was not pinned at
all. At the Blogspot there is an enjoyable poem by
Robinson Jeffers based on a visit he made to Fite's
project. I could find no images of Fite's individual
carvings. It is quite a masonry edifice that he has
construced apparently with immpeccable technique and
built to last.
