Subject: Evolution of the List "Stone tips"

Hi all,

One thing that strikes me as I think back is that people are initially
interested in finding out how to do something or where to get it or how fix
something etc etc and after a while I guess they've got enough information
to set out on their own chosen paths, someone new comes along and asks
pretty much the same set of questions again.

And some of us old lags have grown into tossing troublesome "art questions"
around because we value having a large range of opinions for the stuff that
concerns us at any given moment.

Out of all this I've developed a bit of a proposition, I remember the very
handy studio design paper that know available as a download and regularly
notice it getting closer and closer to my page 1 on Google so I assume many
people are making use of it.

We could provide similar advice available as "Stonetips"a "click on" on the
"stonehoo" page, it could contain such things as "how to carve various
stones" (our particular methods and preferences for tools) or How to join
stone to other pieces of stone and any other material that we can think of
etc. How to lift, move, transport etc - all the sorts of things that a newbe
may want to know.

I know there are a few people who sell this kind of information but I'm sure
it would be very helpful if we posted it for free.

What do you reckon?.

Best wishes to all - Clive
