statuary carrara marble
Hi Phillipe,
Good Luck!
I have communicated with several Carrara Stone companies
by e-mail. I do remember one that offers extensive
photographs of the blocks they would cut yours from. I
will dig around and see if I can find them. Johnson
atelier stone division now known as Digital Stone Project
used to order and work Carrara marble and often had blocks
on hand in New Jersey. I would call them or e-mail
them. Either Christoph Spath or Walter Dusenbery. I have
also found that local companies that trade in floor and
countertop and cladding often have a man in Carrara who
can locate art stone. Lynne Streeter in California is a
person who locates and brokers carrara stone. She is in
Californian right now. I would think you can google her
and she would be more than happy to give you a lead. Bill
or Marc at 1 800 9sculpt will also broker large blocks.
Flatlanders Sculpture supply in Michigan, one of the
owners there, has also offered to use his connections to
locate and broker a block in a that is in a Yard in the US
alread which might speed things up. Please write if you
wish me to dig around for any phone numbers or names.
Bill
