angle grinder cleaning
Quoted text begins.Question Bob? won't the foam cut down the airflow over the
motor and cause the tool to over heat, or do you find that is
not a problem???
JVC
End of quote.
The tube sock might but the foam is after all an air cleaner and designed to
not restrict air flow.If the grinder is getting hot that's a good signal to
stop and clean the foam.
Buy 2,that way you can still work while the rinsed one is drying.
I learned this trick from a fellow who ground alot of fiberglass during boat
repair. If anything is more deadly to electrical equipment than stone dust it
has to be fiberglass.
I used the same trick on my worm drive Skilsaw and it's lasted 3 times
longer than the previous one with no filtration.
I find the worm drive units work far better and safer on stone, especially
cutting stone slabs.
