de-lamination
Arizona sandstone that is marketed as flagstone is typically excavated with skip
loaders, taking advantage of the fact that splits easily along the clay strata.
DImension stone quarrying hasn't been done on a commercial basis in Arizona, as
far as I am aware, for many years. Fundamentally, the stone is not selected for
soundness against scaling. The means of extracting it depends on it being
poorly bound so you can't expect much.

Quoted text begins.Hello all, in response to the de-lamination of steps, I don't believe there is a
"sealer" that will consolidate them, sounds like the stone is suffering from bad
bedding, more of a quality control issue on part of the seller than anything
else.
