Christo and Goldsworthy
Thank you George for your insight into Christo's gates. I have been
mystified this week by the overall "beauty" of this project. Not that all
art is meant to BE beautiful mind you - but this display seemed to me to be
abusy, cluttered intrusion of orange littering the natural beauty of the
parkitself.
After your insight, I now recognize the gates as more of a vehicle that
brought the masses back outdoors, into the fresh air, looking - laughing -
breathing in the February air &talking to each other. In the park. Now
thatIS a work of art.
