Pin Sleeves
Bill Weissinger mentions that it is better to have the pin
in a sleeve. Is this to insure a close fit giving less
wobble to the mounting? Is it to give a more exact
orientation to the whole than can be attained in the
drilling? I will have to expoxy the pin in place anyway
to stop rotation. I can see how a sleeve would help if
one wanted a tight fit where the pin was also removable.
That certainly sounds like a good situation. What is the
material of choice for a sleeve? Copper? Plastic? One
could then hope the interior diameter would recieve the
pin, which of course goes by outside diameter, closely?
