non-swivelling pin
Bill,
The simplest way to keep a piece from turning is to have a small pin very
close to the main one.
A 1\4" pin will act as a stop.
If you don't have room to add a second pin try using a square stainless
steel bar. The trick is to have something wrapped around, or applied to the
bar so that it can be pulled free of the epoxy after it has set up, then
permanently glue the bar into the other piece. If you have positioned the
piece right, it will only go together 4 ways! Using plastic wrap to keep the
glue from bonding to the steel might work. A little experimentation is in
order.
Following on this thought is to use a bar that slides into a square sleeve
glued into the other half. If you planned to be doing a lot different shows
and setups this way might keep the hole from getting beaten up over time.
When are you going to share your thoughts on Christo,,,,,,,. We'er waiting.
