CHAT: studio heat
Hi George !
Brrrrr .....Can you put in a wood stove ? I'm considering it for next
winter.
I was considering hanging plastic to make a much smaller space to heat
but.....
I think my biggest problem is the studio 'ceiling'. The trusses begin at 12
feet and go up to 18 feet and then there are the skylights......my 'plan' is
to put those 4x8 sheets of styrofoam insulation on all walls and the roof (
leaving a gap between the metal and the foam for moisture )as well, going
around the skylights. While this will certainly make it a bit warmer it
will never be completely sealed up. I have 2 windows ( which are open year
round) and 2, 3'x6' openings for air circulation and a 12'x16' doorway so
there is always a bit of a breeze and during high winds it's a vertitable
wind tunnel !!
