Homemade chisels.
hi john - i can be of no help whatsoever and am just very very thankful
that high quality chisels can be purchased. i envy you the ability to
even think that you could make your own chisels, much less succeed at
it.
i can however commend you on your determination, efforts and skill - it
is quite impressive!!! i'll be interested in hearing how long the
chisels will hold up and wish you great success.
also wanted to say how much i like your infirmity piece and the pendant
jewelry - they are quite distinctive and original and beautiful -
thanks for sharing ... edie

Quoted text begins. My next line of thought was "What about making my own carbide tipped
chisels?".
I have made 2 chisels out of stainless steel shanks with solid carbide
silver soldered into a slot in the ends.
This is about as far as I have gotten so far in this and would love to
have as much input as possible. Hopefully some one could add to this.
End of quote.
