We haven't heard from you in quite awhile ! Thanks for your response.

I've spent most of the past 6 months building a new studio and moving home
and studio, it's been quite an effort but well worth it.

As you can see, it's been a serious undertaking, and moving 30 skids of
stone, equipment, models, finished sculpture, several fireplaces, as well
as books, tools, drawings, models, workbenches, etc, right after moving our
entire residence, is not something I plan on doing again! I tried to take
Jerry Venezianos advice to build bigger than you think you'll need, since I
know after a few years it won't be enough... but I hope it lasts me for
another 40some years of carving...

Quoted text begins.I figured I could get about 500 hrs out of the propane I purchased and the
good news is I should not really need that many hrs.

The propane companies will give some credit back for unused gas, but they
charge pumping and other fees, so it's not really worth while- best to burn
all you've got.

Quoted text begins.Tell me more about the wall heaters you have. Can I hang mine vertically

They are called "counterflow direct vent gas wall furnaces" from Williams
Furnace Co.
This pix shows what they look like, although that isn't the same model that
I have.
[URL now obsolete]
(mine cost less)
They mount between the studs in the wall, with a vent to the outside
through the wall. No chimney or
roof venting needed. I have two of them for a 1600 sq. ft. space with very
high ceilings, and it is quite sufficient.
