alabaster clouding
greetings gang, well I think that I've had another one of those "learning
experiences" <g >. I've been working on a piece of translucent orange
alabaster and leaving it on my outside carving table (it's about 40lbs).
It's been outside for about 2-3 months as I slowly worked away on it and
its now become cloudy rather than translucent. Does this just mean that
water has penetrated the stone and it will go translucent again when it
dries out or is it now permanently cloudy @#$%#@$ ? atb, g
