cost of hauling stone
Thanks for the replies on- and off-list. I'm still asking around but I
suspect I'm paying the DC area markup. The stone is a black granite
from Culpeper, VA called Virginia Mist. As for what wonderful thing I'm
making -George, I have so many things I'd like to make floating in my
mind I can't sleep at night sometimes. I turn and tumble one or the
other for a couple of hours until suddenly it looks and feels right and
then I fall asleep. Can I make something from a big block of granite?
Who the heck knows, but if I leave a big useless rock out in Geri's
yard she will certainly kill me. I'm already nailing plywood over the
carpet in one room in the house to have a place to work other projects
until I can build a barn, so I'm already stretching her patience.
