Hi and a Boulder splitting question
Jeff,
As a novice at rocks, I hesitate to give advice but think one point needs
to be amplified in the advice given. How big is the rock? You said "On one
side it appears to be 24â?? deep, but on the other I ran into a rock shelf at
one foot. I don't know if that is a shelf of the boulder I need to remove or
another boulder under it." It is possible that this "shelf" is connected
to China? I would say do some more digging to find out how big it really is.
Having said this, I have used the great advice on this list to split a
couple of big boulders and found the process worked just great and was a very
satisfying accomplishment. So I would say go for the splitting.
