Annie asked,

Quoted text begins. What water clear, uv resistant, non yellowing epoxies are you
referring to and where can a sculptor buy them?
End of quote.

Annie,
You can buy clear polyester resin and epoxy from all the stone industry
suppliers.

Granite City Tool, 1-800-451-4570
GranQuartz, 1-800-458-6222
Braxton-Bragg, 1-800-575-4401

These are east coast companies, so you might check with someone in the
monument or countertop/kitchen business in your area to find out what
they use, and who they buy from.

Braxton Bragg had the most choices.

I've use a lot of different kinds of glue and they all work well.
Akepox, Touchstone, Akemi marmokitt 1000 have served me well, but
although they claim to be clear, I'd call them opaque, but definitely
not yellow at all. I've seen the water clear stuff and it really is
just that.

There is one cautionary point. Epoxy and polyester resin glues are so
much harder then alabaster that it is very hard to level off excess
hard glue because the surrounding stone sands down faster then the
glue. They work best on harder marble and limestone, and of course
granite.

Hope this helps,
George Graham
