saw blades
Norman,
I try to buy Pearl blades when I can. They have a new line out now
called "Fusion" turbo blades, which are lower in price and supposedly
work as well as their "SD Gold" blades that were their premium line.
You can get a Fusion 4" blade for $22-25.
As others have said, you want to buy a blade (wet or dry) that is suited
to your stone. If you are working
with hard stone like granite, a turbo blade is best. The ones at Lowe's
and Home Depot are not very good (believe me I 've tried them), and cost
the same as a Pearl Fusion. They warp easily and wander as they cut,
making it impossible to get a clean cut. They are made for concrete and
brick, and don't have the umph for real hard stone.
Hope this helps.
