New subject: how to keep tools in humid enviroment free
About the whole rust issue, I live in Arkansas and the humidity is
always a problem here also. I try to keep my tools in a mail tube
(generally used for mailing paintings, drawings, ec.). So long as the
tube is wax coated with a nice snug cap, it should work for you, and it
is cheap to get and replace. If there is ever a time that I know I will
not be using the tools for more than a couple of weeks, I still oil them
however. My college sculpture professor uses PVC pipes with end caps for
many of his long tools, and a a clarinet case for shorter rasps, bits,
and such. The instrument cases has a rubber liner that keeps the
moisture out.
Hope this helps :)
