Marla Re: Dream Tools?
Quoted text begins. That and a big belt sander that will level the bottom of a piece of
stone without rounding down the edges. Would that be too much to ask?
End of quote.
Hi there Marla,
Not that a big sander would'nt help some but I have a way of putting the
flat at the base of the stone before carving that might help. It will work
on both alabaster and marble. I use a granite tile or any other hard flat
surface and spread 'sharp' sand on, wet it down a little and place the stone
on top. Pulling and spinning the stone around on top of the sand will give
you a flat base ( no round off on the edges).See
action. Bill Woodard.
