Bill, that was a way interesting site. About turning stone on a lathe,
how is the stone is attached to the face plate? Can it be glued and
then ground down later? What are the typical rpm are for initial
turning when you have to knock of irregularities? I assume its got to
be pretty low or the asymmetry of the stone will really cause a
problem, but it can't be too low either because it won't cut. I like
Simon's homemade lathe, wish one could see more of how the axles were
mounted.
