Subject: angle grinder size

As I stumble towards committing to and buying an angle grinder(s) I
wonder, why are there 4", 4.5", 5" etc sizes? The differences *seem*
small so why choose one over another? is it the typical "size" of the
features that you expect to be shaping? the size of the project
(stone)? the kind of stone? Also, what prevents one from fitting
different size attachments, e.g. cup wheels, to the same grinder? Maybe
it would be a good idea (and fun) to just go to one of the dealers
(Braxton-Bragg, Granquartz, Granite City) and check out all the toys,
its probably only a few hundred miles...
