Subject: homemade bridgesaws

I have used in desperation or by necessity a road saw, they are
used to cut concrete, asphalt and they are self propelled. I built a
track from steel, and I use a 36" blade. I only use it to make ashlar
and patio slabs from the local dolomite, which is a very hard limestone,
you can do step cutting as long as the piece being cut is secure. The
one I have is "TARGET" 65HP gas unit, that was picked up at a
construction auction. My next project will be stone splitter using an
old hydraulic hammer , as the flint knappers use to pre-tension with a
stick before they flacked a piece???
