beginner in need of advice :)
Hello list!
I signed up a few weeks ago, but I'm afraid I've been lurking and this
is my first post. (actually this is my first post to an email list
EVER!)
I have absolutely no experience carving stone whatsoever, but your
conversations have inspired me to try it out and so I'm signed up for
a day's workshop this weekend and I can't wait...
I wanted though to ask your advice: I'm told I'll have a block of
limestone (probably bath or portland?) to carve - about 30cms high and
15 wide. Can anyone recommend a fun and challenging (but not toooo
challenging) first subject?
Thanks for all your informative and inspiring posts so far, and look
forward to hearing your thoughts.
Camilla
