Hey Bill,

Hope to see you next weekend at Roche Harbor?

I have not used the particular setup you describe, but I would think
that the pounds of impact you are going to be applying would be minimal
relative to the pounds already on the tires. If the table weighs 200
lbs and you have a 100 lb stone on the table, you are going to be
hitting it with less than a 1 lb impact with an air hammer and maybe up
to a 20 lb impact if you really wail with a mallet. I would think tire
deflection would only disturb your process if you are in a rhythym,
which implies 5 to 10 lbs of impact(for me). I would think the
reaction to this additional loading (2 to 3 percent) would be minimal
and you would get used to it.

The exception to this would be if the tires are too wimpy and are
overloaded. Then your table would be like weebles wobbling. The tire
seller should be able to tell you what weight they are rated for.
