Hi John,
Excellent advice about SupaGlue- but I can't resist biting on your sweetly
baited hook.
Some years ago I installed Crema Marfil architraves around a suite of lift
doors. Being the material it is, it required extensive repair before
fabrication. The architect chucked a wobbly and insisted that every piece
that 'looked like it had been repaired' be replaced. Funny thing was, she
picked the natural calcite veins, and failed to notice the repaired cracks. We
had used Megapoxy '69' which left a faint imitation calcite line.
Bardiglio marble is greyish with faint darker grey banding? Maybe Tenax would
be the best repair filler, tinted to varying shades to match the background,
after getting SupaGlue to penetrate the crack.
Simon
