stone in manhattan kansas?
Gary,
When I lived in the Midwest, I used to get huge quarry limestone
architectural scraps for carving from Bayer Stone in Manhattan, Kansas
( http://www.bayerstone.com ). I'd contact them and they can tell you just
about everything about stone in the area and where the best of it carved can
be seen-they participate in one of the greatest college stone bench
rivalries (jayhawks vs wildcats) with their neighbor across the street.
They're fabulous. Anyway, I think they'd be a great resource for you.
Betsy

Greetings carvers, I'm going to Manhattan Kansas for a few days and
wondered if there were any carvers there on the list, or if anyone knows
any interesting carving highlights in the town or nearby. I'm aware of
the art museum on campus. TIA, g2
