Point Marker Tool?

Hello Everyone,

I am looking for a tool which is shown in the book Sculpture in Stone by
Cami.  It is demonstrated in the section where he explains how to use a
pointing machine.  He calls it a point marker.  He rubs it between the palms
of his hands (trepans) to drill a fine point when marking his point depth.
It appears to be 1/4 inch stock and about 14 inches long.

Does anyone have any additional information on this tool and where one might
be purchased or custom made?
