relief carving
If anyone is interested, I have documented a couple of pieces,
with several photos and some info.
I am a member of the Society for Creative Anachronism, and the 2
pieces I have documented were done, as much as possible, as it
would have been done in the Middle Ages or early Renaissance.
Both are reliefs. You might find something of interest on
reliefs in the pdf.
