tesseract
Further evidence that three dimensions are plenty:
Climb
My shoes fall on the rooftop below me.
I leave my hat on the sharp church spire.
The height but a moment of surmounting.
Is a place to seek something higher.
The timid folk beseech me. The wise ones warn me
They say that I shall never grow to stand so high.
But I wander among the halls of cloud
and follow vanished lightning
I shall stand knee deep in thunder,
with my head against the sky.
Tiptoe at last upon the pinnacle of sunset
I shall greet the deathlike evening with laughter from afar
Nor tremble in the darkness nor shun the windy midnight.
For by the evening I shall be a star.

(The parsing of line lengths are garbled in this format)
The world is so small and so vast, every tight interstice
filled with texture of a world anew. Look down from
dizzying heights! Sweep the floor, open the door, empty
the studio, and birth a galaxy.
Bravo to Barry X Ball for breadth of view, piercing
insight and toiling machination. His eye is on the prize!
Bill Marsh has been terribly mean, but absurdly inventive
and energizing. And he has not apologized to Marla!
Thank you all listers who light my demimonde
