I was using demimonde in the sense of definition 3a in
Webster's third:
a group (as within a profession) characterized by dealings
of doubtful legality or propriety or by cheap
commercialism or hack work and often by conspicuous lack
of financial success <the artistic demimonde >...
I could have used the word more properly, maybe with more
meaning in the way you read it...Thanks for the help!
