Taking tools on an aeroplane
I recently traveled with my air hammers and a few dozen chisels. I packed
them in my regular suitcase and checked the bag. Assuming this would cause
my bag to be searched (do to a large content of metal in the bag) I also
attached a note which said, "THESE ARE AIR TOOLS AND CHISELS USED FOR STONE
SCULPTING."
When I opened my bag there was a notice that they had searched by bag inside
and everything was fine. I'm sure the average security gaurd at the airport
has never seen some of the tools we work with, so I wanted to help them
identify what they were looking at.
Regards,
John Halter
