why? (upright marble/granite cemetery stones)
Quoted text begins.a lot of damage has
been done to the old marble upright stones due to these lawn mowers.
End of quote.
When I made the headstone for my grandson I tried my hand at pitching the
edges of the ( dare I go there !!) base......};o) ...I did a pretty good
job and didn't want to see the mowers take it all out SO...I purchased 2
plots, side by side and did 'my thing' and placed it on a huge limestone
slab....put there strickly for mower abuse.....SO FAR SO GOOD !!!! No
restrictions on height.....thank goodness
ps ....it is all limestone....sealed, no hand made stone had been set in
this cemetary for at least 65 yrs.....so he says....kind of disappears in
acres of very large, very pink , very black and very, VERY shiny granite
headstones.....
