Quoted text begins.I have tried to search on the web to find a source of the
Pecos Red Sandstone.
Any one know whether the old quarry is being worked at all,
and if so who to contact ?
I am thanking you in advance , and will again!

Hi Kent, Long time since you've posted. Hope all is well.
I have had some experience with the pecos red-- several
courthouse restoration carvings. Last I heard a fellow named
Steve Baxter out of Lometa had rights to the quarry. Not the
easiest guy to buy stone from though.
Jay Brauer up in Jarrell is who sawed up the stock we needed,
and I'm pretty sure he still has some of it laying around--
particularily if you don't want anything real big. (512)
746-5792. Give him a call. Don't know if TexaStone in garden
City has any laying around or not.
