Pietrasanto/ Cararra
Stop in the excitement Hotel Palagi [the spelling might not be correct] near the train station and get a map of Pietrasanta. Visit the workshops and especially the stone yards. Sims workshop is interesting although with Sim passed away it's run by an American woman who I find unpleasant and I don't care if she reads this. The workshops run by the communist party which include a bronze casting foundry up near the hospital always have some interesting work. Just walk around it's a small place and don't forget to visit the tool shops the best one is a short walk outside of town. Maybe you can visit John and Sandy Fisher and see his impressive work, ask around at the cafés on the piazza and have a vino on me.
